Today, there are already 150 million users using Snapchat every day, which has surpassed Twitter users.

Due to its immense popularity, Snapchat immediately attracted the attention of Facebook, which offered $3 billion to acquire the app. But one of the co-founders declines. Facebook later created a similar app (Slingshot), but it failed to break through and displace White Ghost.

Snapchat is aimed primarily at teenagers and adults, with a minimum age of 13. The age group that uses the app the most is between 16-24 years.

How it works Snapchat?

The main screen of the app is a lens, or in other words, we see ourselves as we see ourselves when we take a selfie.

Downloading and creating an account in Snapchat is free of charge.

There's a flash toggle icon in the top left corner, and a button to toggle the camera between front and rear shooting in the top right corner.

There's a big circle at the bottom of the screen, which is actually the button to take photos. You hold your finger over your face, then press the circle and your photo is ready! Once you hold your finger over your face, the various filters that make your head shape comical will appear.

There is another icon in the bottom right corner that allows you to create stories in the app. There, you can watch videos that are currently being filmed.

Snapchatters: Snapchat users.

Snaps: the photos or videos you send.

Scores: The total number of photos and videos you have received/sent.

Chat: The messages you exchange with others.

Snapchat is among the fastest growing companies and has a number of business advantages.

Being at the venue when the event is happening is very convenient and all we need is a good internet connection. Just as Facebook benefits us with Live Streaming, Snapchat allows us to feel the emotion of an important event that we can't physically attend. This tool is particularly useful and can be used for product launches, trade show promotion and generally whatever comes to mind.
